At the end of 2000, I was you could say somewhat unsatified with attending high school full time. It became apparent that the grades I was achieving had a much closer connection with how the teacher liked me, then how I actually performed, in some cases. I figured no high school results would likely be better then poor ones, especially since University was not part of my future plans.

So it was at the beginning of 2001, I made the decision to leave high school with hopes of entering the work force. Or be it known even start my own business. Well as it would turn out, neither of these plans I had was overally quick in coming through. It was over six months before a hint of a job even appeared on the horizon.

Since this time I have been continuously employed in a job or my own business ever since with maybe a handful of weeks that were nothing. While this is not the ideal lifestyle I would like for the future, it is what it is and fulfills the need at the moment.

It was however midway through 2010, that I started to become unsettled in my work. Doing the same thing day in, day out, eventually wears you down. It was at this time that I put in an application for 6 weeks leave. I was heading overseas and while most people would give themselves months or maybe even a year to plan such a journey, I had given myself just 5 weeks.

In some ways this first journey seems like such a long time ago, there was so much that I did not know. Really just aimlessly working through the details. This trip was really one of the greatest learning experiences of my life. There is only one time in your life you get to experience the excitment and anticipation of travelling overseas for the first time.

Since this first journey outside Australia, I have added another two trips, with a fourth just around the corner. Through these journey’s I have gone from clueless on travel to have at least a small idea what I might be doing. However the one thing that I have learnt when it comes to travel is that I hope I never have to stop.

While Travel has been the firstion that my live has taken over the past 18 months, this is of course not my one and only interest. You may already have noticed that photography plays a large part within this blog and at times is hobby I pursuit quite often. This also combines with writing, at this blog, a number of other blogs and hopefully somewhere in the future a number of other avenues.

The past ten years have seen many changes and growth experiences for me, and I don’t doubt the next ten years will contain even more. But no matter the what happens I will continue to Grow, change and experience the world to share with everyone.
