Cruise Ship Sightings
In my travels, especially cruising as much as I have this year it is at times inevitable that I will see cruise ships other then the one that I am travelling on. As such I have also taken to going a little out of the way at times to see ships that are in a port I am near. This page is the result of these sightings, including where available a picture.
Some of the photo’s in this collection will be maybe not the ideal angle, however at times due to the position of the ship and the limited positions to capture the right photo, I do have to get creative. I have listed in alphabetical order and included details where I can about Location and time.
Carnival
Carnival Splendor
I spotted Carnival Splendor, when on my Panama Canal cruise. It was Anchored just behind the MS Statendam in Cabo San Lucas.
Celebrity
Celebrity Century
I have seen Celebrity Century on number of occasions. This picture was taken as she was departing Vancouver. However I have also sighted her In San Diego and the Panama Canal.
Celebrity Constellation
The Celebrity Constellation was one of three cruise ships in port in Aruba, the day I was there on-board the MS Statendam. The other one was from an Asian country and was not in the best position for a photo.
Cunard
Queen Mary 2
P & O Oriana, docked in Brisbane on February 21 2012. It was a stormy afternoon, however I still made the stop on the way to work to get a quick photo.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Pearl
The Norwegian Pearl was the first of three cruise ships to dock in Victoria on August 27th 2011. The other two ships were Sapphire Princess (Princess) and Oosterdam (Holland America).
Princess
Dawn Princess
The Dawn Princess docked in Sydney Harbour. This was the day after I disembarked the MS Volendam. 5 October 2011
Island Princess
This is the Island Princess docked in Vancouver BC. I have seen the Island Princess in a few locations including Fort Lauderdale, Transit of the Panama Canal and Cabo San Lucas. 7 September 2011
Sapphire Princess
The Sapphire Princess docking in Victoria BC. This was the second ship to dock of three on August 27th 2011. The other two ships were Sapphire Princess (Princess) and Oosterdam (Holland America).
Sea Princess
The Sea Princess docked in Victoria BC. At this time I had not found my way to sea wall, so my apologies for the obstructions in this photo. August 26th 2011
Royal Caribbean Line
Jewel of the Seas
The Jewel of the seas was in port in Fort Lauderdale. This was the half way point of my Panama Canal cruise. This was the best angle I could get, unfortunately there were obstacles in the way.
Radiance of the Seas
Another creative angle, to capture Radiance of the Seas docked in San Diego. This was taken the day after my Panama Canal Cruise ended, on the 15 May 2011.
Rhapsody of the Seas
Not the best photo, due to the inclement weather in Hilo, Hawaii, the way I was here on my Transpacific Cruise. The Rhapsody of the Seas left much earlier then the MS Volendam. 15 September 2011
I will continue to add ships as I can when I see them in ports that I am visiting. As mentioned while in Brisbane this may not always work out the best, but I will do what I can do. If there are any error’s or omissions that you notice please feel free to contact me and I will get them resolved.
